The GSPDA Jasper S20 is the world?s first multimedia feature phone powered by the SavaJe Platform as well as the first Java powered mobile phone to support an early access version of JSR-209 specifications. Through the SavaJe Platform, Java Platform Micro Edition (Java ME) application developers have the ability to create advanced user interfaces for mobile phones and devices using Swing and Java2D.

GSPDAs bar handset will feature a 176×220, 256K colour TFT screen, 1.3MPixel camera, video capture, MP3 audio and MP4 video players, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, and an SD memory card for storage of up to 2GB of applications, music, video and pictures.
The new handset supports multiple applications simultaneously, allowing listening to the MP3 audio player while reading or composing messages. Consumer-oriented features include support for MIDI and MP3 ring tones, picture and video caller-ID and support for Java ME games and third party applications. Open OS security is addressed by the implementation of OMA-compliant Digital Rights Management (DRM), a secure key store, certificate and policy management.
