MOTOGP Qatar 2007, Rossi on the first pole position

Valentino Rossi, former five-times MotoGP world championhas achieved the first pole position in the first series of MOTOGP 2007 season in Losail - Qatar, and recorded as the fastest Fiat Yamaha rider on final free practice, Friday Qatar MotoGP qualification.

The time’s recorded by Rossi is one minute and 55.002 second while the second place is Casey Stoner from Ducati Marlboro team and Rossi’s team-mate Colin Edwards on the third position.

But Nicky Hayden from Honda Repsol team - the 2006 MotoGP world champion only takes on 10th position and the time was recorded 01:56.461.
